my name is Iyaniwura O.A. I don’t shorten my name, because it means a lot to me.

by itself, “wura” means gold, and that’s always made a lot of sense.

golden girl, golden brain.

I graduated from Cornell University in May 2020 with a degree in Biological Sciences, cum laude. though I didn’t study the arts past an Intro to Poetry class, it’s in my nature to make the simple complex, and vice versa. that is art to me.

Now I’m in medical school, wrapping Narrative Medicine around my desire to improve how, and what, patients see.

I put together this portfolio because I wanted to bring all my facets together. professional or personal, it’s all purposeful.
